The Wampler Sovereign V2 is a versatile distortion with a wide range of gain and tonal sweep. It features controls for volume, tone, and gain – and a unique mid contour control, which is excellent for tailoring the Sovereign for the right hard rock or metal tone. Two gain modes – Vintage and Modern – and a gain boost mode, which also adds extra presence, allow for dialing in the right EQ curve and response for particular pickup and amp combinations.
