Description

The Warhawk DAW from Reverend Guitars presents a cutting-edge body design and loads of features that enhance its tone and playability. The Warhawk has been cut with thinner wings and more mass at the center ridge for all-around fuller tone and enhanced resonance. This stunner boasts an all-korina body, a tonewood that is universally lauded for its incredibly unique sonic properties combining an upfront midrange, a snappy treble, and a solid foundation of low end. A gorgeous 3-piece korina neck with a pau ferro fingerboard offers smooth playability and delicious response. When you plug in, a bridge humbucker and neck single-coil are a winning combo that unite to deliver warm, open, and clear tones with loads of drive and a ton of punch! When you are really digging in, the Warhawk DAW is outfitted with a Wilkinson IIK tremolo system that stays in tune without the hassle of a locking nut and lets you really let the whammy fly!

Set neck for warm tone and sensitive response

The 3-piece korina set neck on the Warhawk has been cut to a medium-oval profile for a really comfortable feel in your hand that makes lead runs and chords up and down the pau ferro fingerboard extra smooth. Many guitarists appreciate a set-neck design due to its warmer tone and sensitive response. And with a dual-action truss rod, you can adjust it in both directions, allowing back bow or forward bow to suit your preferred action. The dual-action design also means correct adjustment range is possible regardless of string tension, changes in climate conditions, or the effects of long-term aging!

Tone, tone, tone!

Reverend Guitars founder Joe Naylor is a tone junkie who is constantly working and reworking body and pickup designs to maximize sonic goodness. A bona fide prodigy, Joe founded Reverend Guitars in 1997 with a unique vision: build great, boutique-style guitars and the pickups that go in them. Thats right. Joe not only presided over the design of the Warhawk DAW, but he also designed the HA5 bridge humbucker and 9A5 neck single-coil. The HA5 bridge is a classic-style humbucker tone with a slightly hotter wind for a little more drive and kick. Crank up the gain on this humbucker and it doesnt muddy or lose clarity. The 9A5 is a P-90-style pickup with a ton of raw, classic tone, but wound a tinge hotter and thicker-sounding than a vintage P-90 the ideal bridge position pickup! The diverse range of this pickup duo has blown a lot of minds and ears. Finally, the Warhawk also comes with a bass contour. This cool, easy-to-access control lets you dial your low end back slightly to tighten up your rhythm tones, or roll it back further to emphasize attack and presence. Or use it in conjunction with the standard tone control for mid-focused tones you normally couldnt achieve without an EQ or a filter pedal!

Innovative bridge for stellar sustain

With the Wilkinson WVS50 IIK tremolo, each saddle locks down to make the bridge one solid unit. This feature keeps springs from going loose, ensuring a tight midrange focus as well as enhancing overall sustain. The Warhawk DAW also features an adjustable arm swing tension and a push-in/no freeplay arm a threaded insert feature that lets you remove and reattach the tremolo arm and tighten it down to a level that suits your playing style. In addition to this amazing bridge, the Warhawk also features the Vari-Claw Tremolo Claw system, which gives you the option of utilizing three springs in the middle for a firm tremolo feel or two springs on the outside for a softer feel. And with Reverends Boneite nut and pin-lock tuners, you stay in tune even when you really let the whammy fly!
